for the time being can i use the eas to just control the rears (cos fronts not fitted yet)

breif rundown..72 2 door, all eas fitted and running,BUT not actually connected to bags..just fitted the rear bags, running them on emergency type valves for now (to see if i liked them really, and i do..air for me!)fronts still coils, will be ordering and fitting air bags asap along with dual damper turrets, but just using the secondary damper position..

in the mean time..can i connect eas up to rear bags, blank off the front eas feeds...and then run eas???or will ecu just get hard faults all the time with the fronts springs not responding (as they won't be there!)

be nice if i could so sytem will keep them topped up/level etc..

thanks..

Speaking from P38 experience, it would depend on the signals coming from the front sensors. Whether the bags are there or not doesn't matter. Where you will run into problems is when the rear changes height, at speed for example, and the front doesn't. Then you will get faults.

Whether you could change all the settings for the front sensors to the same figure for all heights I'm not sure, you'll need someone with more 'Classic' knowledge for that.

Is it worth the aggro?

Is this vehicle for Off-Road use only?? as I am pretty sure that if your were stopped or, God forbid, you had an accident on the road, you may find your insurance isn't valid and also the plod will cast a very dim view on this hybrid if you have done one end before the other as it could be illegal and dangerous....

Best do Front and Rear before you put it on the road and don't forget to inform your insurer.

How does this EAS Mod onto a 2 door RRCL sit in relation to the forthcoming new MOT regulations on non-standard/Approved modifications?

Technically it should work OK as the front height sensors will be at a fixed position and the rear will just adjust to match. Just make sure you "lock" the suspension with the dash switch.

Alternatively, if you have fitted the underseat lockout switch you should be able to pump the rear springs up to the desired height and flick the switch, which will stop it adjusting and self-levelling.

From a legal/safety perspective, I wouldn't drive it on public roads until it is all fitted and inspected!!

thanks for help...

as a note disco 2 has air rear coils frontnothing dangerous about it..i know what am doing thanks...(though appreciate your concern,)...(and for the nosey my insurerers have all the details..they dont give a hout!i love them, they love me..)

The Disco was designed to have Air and Springs....

The Classic wasn't....Appreciate you know what your doing no doubt, but I would hate for something to happen and you are either in a ditch bleeding or worse, pushing up the daisies....and I hadn't said anything...

Best of luck buddy...
