Well, what can I say?! After getting a full 10.5” of snow on Saturday (proof below – and yes, that’s a flat and level surface!!) the Range Rover has well and truly earned its keep this weekend! Spent all day Saturday towing and pushing people out – towed a stranded couple in a C-Class Merc up a hill, then a massive Iveco box van lorry thing of medical supplies that was blocking a whole road (again, up a hill – very impressive) and then the biggest challenge of all – a mate in a pink smart car!! Took it all in its stride, and all on normal Mud + Snow tyres, two of which are pretty worn (on the rear)!!
Even the heated door locks work (locks seem to freeze quite easily, so that’s a blessing)! Just hold the handle out for a minute and voila(!), the locks open with ease.
I absolutely love the car...apart from the horrendous fuel economy. £27 to cover 55 miles is absurd, that’s 11mpg!!
Anyway, some pics below:
10.5” of snow:
Making the journey home after towing several people out:
Exploring some local lanes – I think we were only the 2nd or 3rd vehicle down there by the looks of it!
And our chickens, looking thoroughly bemused by it all...
Love it!
