Hi all, i am stuck a bit and need help.

Recently after a regular change of front arms and when the car was removed off the ramp the air-suspension and calibration started messing up.
As the mechanic tried to fix it he over inflated the front right airsuspension which caused it to burst and thats where my nightmare begins.

I have change the airsuspension however when calibrating it after a while driving i get the normal error on my dash “air suspension inactive” and the car over time drops to the spring level being very hard on bumps.

Checking the air suspension compressor it had a minor leak which was now fixed and car recalibrated to normal levels however after a 1h drive again the error message appeared on the dash and the diagnostic code were “reservoir pressure drops when filling”.

Any suggestions what should be replaced.

Please note all of the works above were undertaken by a mechanic and i dont have the diagnostics tool with me to check pressure and etc. perhaps i should buy one? Which one do you suggest?

Let me know your suggestions.

Thanks a lot

First if he over inflated an airbag, get a different mechanic.

If he also "fixed" the compressor, and you get pressure drop errors, then it's not fixed properly. Refurb kit for the compressor is easy to do. Kit costs vary depending on Hitachi or Wabco compressor but talk to X8R and 4x4airseals.

Before that get some soapy water in a spray bottle, and check for leaks on all the airline joints, valves & the pump itself.

Thanks Pwood999

Mechanic changed straight after the burst.

The air compressor was fixed however i can look into changing the refurb kit myself snd see the outcome. Also will check the airline joints valves and the pump.

Any recommendations where to focus the most? Thanks

Download the suspension info PDF & read thoroughly: https://drive.google.com/drive/fold...ourcekey=0-B95w6tVVa9XUdcjyAqMZsA&usp=sharing

Get a pressure gauge & some airline pipe & fittings. Then check the compressor is actually putting out at least 170psi.

The doc I linked shows where the various valves & tank are located. Either something is leaking, or the compressor is not producing enough air.

Also add you rough location (town name) to your profile. There might be someone nearby with diagnostics.
