RR Soft Dash 3.9 Coolant Leak

Hi folks,

I have a very slow fresh coolant drip (more after use) coming from the passenger side of the engine sump.

Core plugs look ok
No oil water mixing
radiator is ok
No loss of power

My thoughts are water pump / gaskest or valley seal?

Any help apprictaed - see pdf picture of area?

Possibly a gasket but you need to see where from. Would suggest you clean the front of teh engine then take it for a run then crawl under it and see if you can see any track marks.

If you're lucky it could just be the water pump gasket but a more tedious job would be timing cover gasket. Also, carefully check all your hoses and their respective jubilee clips. You might find things a bit easier to see if you remove fan and rad cowl, that will also give you the opportunity to check the condition of the rad.

All hoses look ok, Will clean round the pump and monitor afterwards

i would say its the pump housing or bearing mate!

What about the thermostat?
