Good evening,

I'm looking to buy some diagnostic software/cables to look after my late 1993 and 1994 LSEs (Hard and soft dashes).

Would I be correct to think I need one of these cables:

And then I can get the software to run on a PC (not Mac I assume?) on freeware from the internet?

I would just like to be able to turn off a possible ABS light that pops up every so often.

Is the air suspension on the same diagnostic system, connection point or does that require a whole different kit?

Many thanks

Rovergauge software is solely for the Lucas 14cux fuel injection ECU, it will not communicate with anything else whatsoever, and the only fault codes it will clear are fuel injection related ones, a worthy bit of kit to have, but not for the needs you describe I’m afraid.

When I was trying to diagnose a fault on my D1 cruise control I found a very detailed test procedure which allowed me to fault find using a multimeter and a bit of wire, maybe you will find similar for your ABS?

Not sure if this helps with the abs light. Martyn

Check your wheel bearings for any play, this is the usual fault for dash lights. Sometimes it needs a decent rough road to throw a fault.

Very interesting, it gets reset and then something throws it out going around a round about or the like. Sounds like that could be a wheel bearing with play?
