Hello

I hope you excuse my bad english.

I have a big problem with my Range Rover 91. The ABS light is on the whole time and the abs don´t work. I run the abs selfdiagnostic and get the code 2-6: Faulty stoplight switch or wiring. Fuse A5 blown or not fitted.

The fuse is tested and it´s ok. I bought a new stoplight switch (lucas) but that did´nt help eather.

So I hope that anyone here can help me with things to check. My first thaught was to follow all cabels and test them but that was hopeless. Anyone here that knows where each cabel goes? So I can test all cabels fore damages, and just try to make a testcabel between connectors.

I am thankfull for all tips that can help me in my faultfinding.

Hi Mickev,
welcome to the forum. Been having major trouble with my ABS aswell (90 model) was that the only fault code given?
Did you check a second or third time to get other codes?

Have you set the switch properly to allow it to go off when pedal is released?

Does the ABS run when ignition turned on

Thanks.

Jepp, that was the ony code I gett. Tryed before and after the change. Testdrive after change and still no ABS.

I´m quet shure that the switch is right. Messured whit multimeter and it shows that the swich give electricity to brakelight and abs when you press down the pedal (and not when released). I hope you understand what I try to explane with my bad english.
