Hi, I have a Range Rover p38 DHSE 51 reg, it has a 6 cd multi changer in the boot but it has no cartridge . I read that i need the clarion CAA 122 cartridge as they were standard at the time but from what i can see the multi changer in the car has the logo that i think says disk ( very small logo ) but i can not find any info on which cartridge i need . I also read that the alpine multi changer was also fitted as standard as well  so now i am well confused as to the 6 cd cartridge i need .

Any info would be great
Many thanks

with a 2001 car you will need a alpine cd magazine,IF it works as there a pain in the arse as the magazine usualy sticks in the cd player.best thing to do is fit an aftermarket radio/cd player.do a search theres a fred by clarky130 about fitting aftermarket radios and still be able to use the hk amp basebox in the boot but you will loose the steering wheel controls, small price to pay for better sound,i have a magazine so if your near leicester you can try mine to see if your player is working before buying one.

Hi

I have a complete Clarion CD Changer that is surplus to requirements - not sure if it's working as the head unit isn't connected to it but you're welcome to it

:)

Hi, thanks for the offer but think i will pass on it as i now know i need the alpine ( disc ) magazine and don't fancy changing the whole unit but thanks so much for your very kind offer :)

I have the original radio/cassette/cd player in the console of my 2000 P38 with the CD button but the car was not fitted with the cd multi changer. Anyone had experience of fitting one or know if the vehicle would have been wired ready?
