Yes, there's a kit. Flywheel adapter, housing adapter, and engine mounts. Only available secondhand.

Issues. Cooling needs to be top notch, exhausts can foul the bulkhead, half shafts/ gearbox need to be in good shape. Value of original vehicles is usually higher.

But generally a good conversion.

Thanks, do you know of any kits for sale.

Hi, planning of fitting a 3.5l rover engine into my 76 series 3, is there a conversation kit on the market? And what troubles have been found with this swap.
Cheers Riley
Not sure what bits are available in your part of the world.

Is it an 88 or 109?

You'll need an adapter plate to bolt to the gearbox, I'd guess mounts could be fabbed up. Either that or you need to look at a different gearbox. There are quite a few options depending on end goals and budget.

It's a 109, will probably end up using 3.5 engine bell housing and clutch. Then manufacturer a adaptor plate for the series gearbox, I have a high ratio transfer case that I will be using as well

As others have said. Steve Parker, Rochdale I think, where the main supplier of conversion kits.
It was a very popular conversion back in the eighties and 90's.
R380 Gearbox and Salisbury axle along with uprated brakes are good things to have.
