Rovacom was replaced by nanocom 10-15 years ago?Why not look for a Nanocom?
thank you for your reply, thats what i was told works. Its a morgan plus 8 2003 with the 4,0 gemsRovacom was replaced by nanocom 10-15 years ago?
If it's just for the engine, I believe you can use a cheap ELM device but Nanocom does everything that the Rovercom does. Others with more knowledge of the V8 will know for sure about ELM.thank you for your reply, thats what i was told works, its a morgan plus 8 2003 with the 4,0 gems
thank you for your help,i did try black box a couple of weeks ago ,who are based in cyprus.its an old advert and they didn't have any ,but thank youIf you are dead set on a Rovacom Lite then Black Box appear to still sell them.

just contacted them again ,the link you sent looks ideal,.....they are closed due to a holiday, but i left my details, they come up on the morgan site a few times mostly from American owners who have little support .i am trying to get ahead of the game in at least fault finding but so far have gone backwardsthank you for your help,i did try black box a couple of weeks ago ,who are based in cyprus.its an old advert and they didn't have any ,but thank you
good on you, will sit down with my stepson and go through it all, modern day tech is alien to me.the pooles article is very good thank youAlthough I do have Nanocom which is the best for P38 GEMS, Thor or Diseasel, I often use Car Scanner app on iPhone, with a bluetooth dongle (Vgate or similar on Amazon). This works faster on my GEMS when I need real-time engine data.
Never tried resetting adaptive values with the Car Scanner, so use Nanocom when I need to do that. Otherwise the app reads everything on the engine. Obviously the scanner will not talk to any other P38 ECU, but you only need the engine.
You might find the attached PDF useful as well.
thank you, replaced two lambda sensors as that came up when codes were read at morgan main dealer but car went stone dead 150 miles later,i suspect its an earthing issue that is intermittent ,cant find it so far some of it is very difficult to get atDo the basics first, i.e. fuel pressure, compression check, sparks, crank sensor.
oh dear, limited knowledge lack of proper diagnostic equipment and a garage who sold me the car uninterested ,it gets worseAlso does your Morgan also have the Lucas AS10 alarm system ? If so, you also need to check that it's properly syncedto the GEMS ECU, or the engine will be immobilised.
This may be so right now. But it may very well get an awful lot better, in the blink of an eye.oh dear, limited knowledge lack of proper diagnostic equipment and a garage who sold me the car uninterested ,it gets worse
thats what i like dan a positive attitudeThis may be so right now. But it may very well get an awful lot better, in the blink of an eye.
If you have not had the car long, throw it back to the garage as not fit for purpose use the small claims court if necessary.oh dear, limited knowledge lack of proper diagnostic equipment and a garage who sold me the car uninterested ,it gets worse
