rock sliders

i were told t'other day that disco rock sliders bolt only to the sill...... that seems a bit poor to me

can anyone confirm or rebuke this?

I think it depends who you buy them from, some just bolt on to the sills.

just replace the sills with 40*100mm box section.

Mine bolt to the sills and the chassis outriggers. One went on dead easy, the other didn't want to fit between the outriggers. Built on a jig they weren't!

Mine bolted on but were welded in place as well.

If you bolt them to the sills and chassis, does it cause any extra vibration/harshness through the body ? .
