Im just having a rant as some Asshole has nicked my CB arial and key'd right down the NS rear door!

I wouldnt mind if they had broke in but mindless theft and damage really ****es me off!!!

Any ideas how to make a CB arial theft proof? I had thought of a few tack welds at the base of it but wondered if this would interfere with signal?

I know there only 15quid or so but thats not really the point,

Get a quick release aerial mount

i unscrew my airial and put in the landy, took 2 thefts for me to learn this ..

Also available from Maplins (but not at that price).

Disconect the cb from the antenna and connect the live from your home 220v supply to the antenna, make sure the body of the vehicle is earthed, then that thieving bastid will only try and steal it once more

Only option is to remove it.

tacking it on won't hurt the signal, but you'll probably find they bend it beyond use anyway if they can't get it off.
