I tend to fill it with petrol and then fill my wallet with money for the subsequent fills. You shouldn't need to prepare a well maintained car.
 
Any form of speed camera warning system is now illegal in France, that includes Sat Nav's.
That's not true mate. Sat Nav's and Speed Camera GPS with new datas are legal if they came with a certificate of conformity.

In all seriousness, well done on a successful trip. I imagine you feel much more "at one" with your P38 now. Any hiccups en route?

LOL the oil was put in the fuel tank before setting off! and the wine was on the back seats on the trip home ;);)
 
and yes, I hit the bump stops and had to plug the laptop in and clear a fault, but other than that everything was good, didn't lose any oil or water that's the important part :)
