I just had my 04 DC vehicle class changed to utility by the DVLA, so it's gone from £580m to £280/yr

As a reality check. If a vehicle is over 30, you pay 56euro road tax. Any younger, like my 110, its 1256euro unless its commercial, then its 333 euro. I can also drive a range rover, disco or similar on commercial tax because of the rear load space. You used to have to take the rear seats out and weld up the seat belt mounts. The load space is a new loop hole that people are using until it get closed.
I would love to be paying your tax and insurance.

lf it's a factory DC it should have been taxed as a commercial vehicle from new, as far as l am aware.
lf it's been converted to a DC l am not sure how difficult it is to get the classification changed.
