After a few months of ownership, here's my Discovery 300 TDi.
1995 reg with AC, electric mirrors, headlight adjustment but looks to be a GS.
Became mine in June after my first car needed a new home! been dying to get myself a Land Rover for years and finally I own one! :D

After a few days of ownership i started noticing the little niggles.. these being

- The aerial does not function, it only stays up.
- The replacement electronic aerial on the windscreen does not work either.
- The AC was not blowing cold enough on hot summer days.
- The rear N/S door wouldn't lock/ unlock on the central locking fitted.
- The central locking itself was iffy.
- The rear washer jet was missing.
- The Driver's door frame catches the B-pillar unless the window is all the way up.
- The electric mirror motor gears seem to have missing teeth as only grip sometimes.
- The softbar was too tight and too close to the bonnet so i couldn't get to the catch when opening it..
- Oil leak coming from somewhere.. might be under vac pump. might be oil cooler pipes.. not really pinpointed yet..
- tyres were very close to legal limit.
- sterio + speakers were not working.
- Paint Lacquer on the roof was peeling.
- Back box is more like a pasta strainer.

ANYWAY! i love it to bits and it never ever let me down yet! :) all in all chuffed!!

Right so first thing i addressed was the Central locking.. where i hit a wall since the system seemed to be a cheepo after market deal that seemed to be losing control of it's magic box of tricks. tore it all out. back to the good old key now! lol :)

still had some problems with the locks tho. the plastic striker that the outside handle pushes seemed to have worn down and therefore drive's door wouldn't open.. I fixed that by sticking a block of plastic on the place where it strikes. problem solved door now opens perfect!

+1 for Ingenuity :) lol

Second thing was nicking the ridiculously expensive (at the time for me.. im a student still!) stereo system from my Astra and put that into my Disco!
So i started out with these in my rear pillars.. They were not even connected up!! worked well but i had better ones soooo...
