RIP my gearbox !

Hey peeps - just thought i'd share this with you all ..... my friend and i couldn't believe what came out of our gearbox today .... after we lost drive going down the motorway on thursday, we feared the worst ......

Thought it may of been the Xfer box, but nope, we checked it all over, nothing wrong.

However, we checked over the gearbox and felt it grinding.........we have a spare, so took 20 mins out to investigate further

Engine oil poured out when we drained it for the strip....so that was the 1st clue..... plus lots of filings....then we popped the gearset......

Nah yer big woose, there's thousands of miles left in that.

Seems like a waste, really......i'll put some chemical Steel on there and file a new set of syncro teeth.
