Hi Guys

I have had my 1999 TD5 ES 107,000miles pre CAT for som4 8 month now , its is great, living in Aberdeen it has been down and up to London 3 times in that time , it was great in all the snow we had for over 3 months up here, ANYWAY I DIGRESS , the car drives fine and am regularly returning 32mpg, I am sure the turbo is working , but it is not the quickesat picking up from a start, and I really cant get it to Revv over about 3,000 - 3,250 rpm.

Should it revv easily all the way to 4,5000 ? if so how do I rectify this and what do I check , was thinking of blanking the EGR, there is no sign of oil in the injector harness either

Alan:)

im gettin the same prob as this, gets up to 2500 but from there up, really sluggish and really struggles to get to 3k :S

Hi Alan,I think you'll struggle to get the revs up that high, but it should rev easily round to 3500-4000rpms.

To be sure you really need to get it on a diagnostic terminal to find out what's going wrong. No point in guessing is there?
