Ok, silly question time. The l/h reversing light lens fell off today. Was lucky I saw it , as was at garage. So here comes the silly question: is it supposed to be glued on? I can see the cut out at the top but it's for access to screw for complete unit. There are grooves that fit on the main unit, but they're not a click into place and tight fit. Which leaves the glue option. However, if the bulb goes I don't want to be cracking the lens.
Thanks in advance for answers.

Bulb comes out from the rear on most of the car light units I have seen either via an access panel in the boot, or by removing the trim or by removing the whole light unit. Trucks and trailer light units have lenses that are held to the light unit by screws with frontal bulb removal.

No its not glued on its screwd but they usually seize and when you have to replace the bulb the lense cracks. Hence it falls off. When i fitted led reversing bulbs i hot glued my lenses back on because there stupid expensive

Remove the screw (if you can they can be a bit tight) pull the top of the unit out a little then lift it up to remove it from the body twist the bulb holder to release it (short wire not much to play with) take it in doors (too bleeding cold to do it out side) and glue the lens back on, hows that dear ?

Maybe didnt explain myself. The lens s-l1600.jpg fell off, not the unit s-l1600 (1).jpg . Happily no cracks, etc. The unit and bulb are quite happy in normal location. The screw for the unit is not too tight, tried unscrewing it to see if lens fitted under it , or anything similar. It doesn't. There's nothing to screw it to. The only screw is the one holding the unit to the body.
As I didnt have internet today*, but needed to drive about, I braved the cold and bit the bullet. I have put a few bits of glue on top and bottom corners and a bit each side. Hopefully, it set before the sleet started! It certainly held for rest of afternoon.
@kds thanks sweetie but I didn't need to faff about unscrewing the whole thing. It was definitely cold but I was big and brave and just faced it down ;)

Just seems yet another silly design on the L322.
Ah well, if it's still on , in the morning, alls well that ends well :D
