I know .I have been thinking the last days what I could have done wrong .Fitting the oil pump went ok. New filter etc I have done often before.

i pulled it out and put it back together.again This can only be done the right way or the total it will not fit together.and you feel clearance
I think the best way is to do the valve block job again and refil together with lucas 10009 and see what happens.
Have good hope

I took the body block apart completely cleaned it checked the solenoids rebuild it .new filter oil........ still no reverse only a slight crawling.forward shifts go fine.
I am almost sure I did everything to the book.
What could be wrong ...broken ????????

Well it isn’t your forward/reverse clutch as you have forward gear, so that leaves your reverse band, either shot, or more likely, given the train of events, not actuating. That leads to valving, which you say is OK, or the apply solenoid not working/not receiving a signal etc.

You didn’t lose a check ball from the valve block at all?

there isnt a reverse band, for reverse clutch B as the drive in ,C and cb2 are operated, all forward gears use clutch A as the drive in as well as others

When I go back to when the problem started after renewing the oil pump.
The first test ride the reverse worked fine and when I used the reverse after 30 minutes the second time there was no reverse.........

No reverse or just slow? No reverse could be cable adjustment or xyz switch?

My knowledge of the automatic could be written on a postage stamp - in 18 point font.

Checked all the wiring today. One cracked blue orange wire near the leverer switch ......still no reverse.
I read in rave that if selenoids are not feeded there will be a fault warning on the display so there must be a leak somewher.
I think it is getting time for looking for another auto box because this is getting beyound my level

Drop the valve block and check it out properly. The only solution is to go back over everything you have done and double check. It's got to be a small error in your good Intentions.
It may save extra cost. ;)
