Reverse beep

I have a 2013 Freelander SD4 XS, have noticed on similar models that a "warning beep" is activated when reverse gear is selected. Mine does not do this, any ideas why or how to activate maybe in settings for example.
This is not the proximity warning sensors, they operate perfectly well.
