Hello i'm having a new front windscreen fitted to my freelander 2 this week. Auto glass are not happy to bring out an unheated because they do not believe me that it has not got one. I not worried about this but does anyone know if it is possible to make this work and how?.

was reasonably easy to make it work on the FL1, but the FL2 is a far more complicated beast.

yes no problem if the wires are not there you need to wire it through a relay totake the load
I agree, use the signal from the rear screen to switch the relay. It's easy to wire in, but will he still fit it if he turns up and finds it doesn't have one already fitted?
If he's the normal overworked, underpaid fitter he'll do anything for a quiet life - and maybe a cuppa and a decent biccie.
