Hi all,
Just wondering if it is worth retro fitting front and rear anti roll bar to my RRC. It is one of the first 90 models, and did not come fitted with them.

I know it will effect the articulation of the suspension but I don't do any serious off road stuff but a lot of road driving.

I havent got them either, looks like you have to weld the mounts/bar to the boot floor and as your is made of rust you might struggle lol:p

thats one reason I wants them kev. Do a heck of a lot of m-way driving.

And fyi Fett. My boot floor isnt rusty. well not all of it lol. Daren't look tbh. was bad enough when I had to sort it out for MOT 2 years ago.

It'll go on the new chassis when that is done anyway. If i get it done that is.

Yeah hurry up!

I was reading in an old LRO that you can buy the antiroll bar kits but they looked like a fair bit of work to fit, although doable!

I had arbs and werent to bad to drive, went in a mates disco where he took em off, felt a bit sea sick!

Not sure about 'after-market' products but the original OE part kit can be retro-fitted to older cars & includes replacement rear springs/dampers (I know this because I've got it all on my '87 Vogue). LR allegedly spent a lot of time designing a 'handling kit' for the RRC resulting in suspension travel only being reduced by half an inch. I don't know if these components are still available but I've still got the paperwork that came with the OE kit, though I did'nt fit it myself.

Currently running Bearmach HD springs. A lot better than it was but still not that good.
Mind you. I am going to be fitting a twin shock setup on the vehicle when I do my other chassis
