Hi all:)
Been having a browse on flea bay and noticed you can pick up a new leather handbrake gaiter for about £5.
Has anybody ever changed one of these? I have not looked yet but is it a simple job or does half the centre console have to be pulled out. If it's easy then for £5 for a leather gaiter is not too bad.
Any tips are most gratefull.:):):)

It's hardly half the dash.
Gearlever surround off, two screws inside the front of the cubby box, one at the bottom of window panel and you're in. The most difficult part I had was getting the handbrake grip off and back on, so I stuck a walnut one on whilst I was doing it.

The leather gaiters don't come with the plastic rectangle retainer that holds it in place on the window switch panel though. Remove your old gaitor and remove the staples holding it to the retainer. Stretch the new leather gaitor around the retainer in the same fashion it was previously fitted, then use a staple gun to fire some new staples through the leather and into the retainer. Manually fold the protruding staples flat so they won't pull out.
