Hi all,

The chassis fuel pipes on our V8 disco are rotten and leaking and replacements are on the way. I will be attempting to change them this weekend but noticed that Buster hasn't posted a guide for doing this.

Does anyone know of any guides with pictures to help me out? I know the fuel tank needs to be moved but is there anything major that I need to know and any special equipment needed?

Thanks in advance!

Jay

I did mine as above with rubber hose and hose tail fittings. Working very nicely.

I cable tied them to the top of the chassis, and fitted them/removed the old with the tank in place.

Was quite an easy job tbh.

Anyway, read the above link and as what you think. There's no way you can fit solid lines with the body on though. In my opinion thick wall rubber hose is as good as if not better than copper, and you can route it very easily.

10m of hose was plenty.

Cheers.

Getting hold of the hose was easy enough but the hose tails and thread adapters are like trying to find unicorn sh*t!

Do you have a link to an online supplier who does them?

I got all my bits from a firm called 'able hydraulics'

They are in Trafford park, nr Manchester.

All the threads (the pump, the filter, the engine) were wacko threads and they had to supply me standard hosetails and then adaptors to fit the engine etc.

I bought the bits cash so I don't have a receipt to check what the threads were, sorry!

Anyway, hope they can help you...
