So ... the wifey managed to accidentally "brush" against a parked van today ... Haven't seen the damage yet but she says the Passenger side wing mirror bent inwards and the glass has cracked (Spiderweb).

Had a read of threads on here and hopefully it is just the glass that needs replacing (and possibly the attaching clip).

Now, I have a 2002 dHSE so presume it will have the photochromatic mirrors. Is there any point in looking for the same replacement or does a normal plain glass one work just as well? There is quite a price difference between the two and to be honest, until I read the threads on here, I didn't even realise that my mirrors dimmed in bright light (maybe they've already been replaced with plain glass!).

Thoughts? I have been trying to keep the car as original as possible and have so far used oem parts for everything.

If you have a dhse it isnt very likely that you have photochromatic mirrors as they were an expensive option on Vogue and Autobiography cars.
Unplug the mirror electrics and count the pins. 12 is Photo, 10 is normal, 6 on basic cars.

Agree with Irishrover. Got mine from Island just because mine weren't heating up. Got the two clips as well as they can break when taking off the old ones. They worked a treat.

So this is what it looks like.
