Hi all!
I appreciate this has been asked before but couldn't find anything recent.

It's looking like my 90 300tdi chassis is getting everywhere closer for replacement. Who is the goto manufacturer nowadays to purchase the replacement.
Anyone experiences with Maer?
Also the bulkhead seems OK but dies anyone recommend a certain manufacturer?

Thanks

Marshland supply a galvanised chassis made by GKN Autostructures, which (i understand) is the only one that has been 'type approved' for use on the road.
Richards are good, they do aa 'all pressed' bulkhead now too.

Maer were contracted by Bearmach and now the Bear' has fled, they are selling direct.
I thought their stuff looked excellent when I was prodding it at the LRO show a few months ago.
They also do a stainless steel bulkhead, which looked the dogs (but i've not fitted one).

I have a Richards chassis on mine. Was fitted years ago now and at the time one of the big differences was the rear crossmember. Richards made them correct for the year whereas marshland were all the later style rear crossmember. Not sure if that is still the case.
Again at the time Richards was made from four flat sections welded together into a box. But marsland was c sections welded into a box similar to the original. I have no expiriance with maer or shielder as they did not exist when I did mine.

I got a Richards 10 years ago, heavier duty than the others and it was fine, mate just got a Richards for his series 109 and it's all good
