Replacement 300TDi please....

Hi all,

Last year my engine died a slow and horrible death with a combination of the turbo failing, overheating, running dry of oil all combined with a lot of thick black smoke.

So rather than strip and repair the engine I'm looking to replace the lump. If anyone near Telford / Shropshire knows of a 300TDi available at a sensible price with decent service history etc then please PM me.

Secondly, if anyone can spare a few hours, tools, engine lift and knowledge etc one day to advise and help me do the deed i would be most grateful!!

A 300tdi engine is going to be 14 to 18 years old Who's gonna have a recent service history ??? you'll be waiting a long time for one with a sevice history..

Decent - not necessarily recent. I know the age, I what to expect. Just don't want to pay over the odds for a knackered one that will fail agin 12 months later. One that's been properly looked after previously perhaps in an mot failure would be ideal.
