Can anyone translate this for me please.

sorry for confusion!
basically i have just removed my old wavy rear bumper ready to put my new one on but i cant figure out how to disconnect the tow bar electrics - anyone help?

Remove the access panels to the rear lamps in the loadspace area. If there's just a single socket fitted, the multiplug is behind the drivers side access panel. If there are two sockets, the wiring for the other one is usually behind the passenger side access panel. You should be able to see the socket cables coming in from the corner.

cheers irishrover - there are 2 and it is oringinal tow bar so i will look tomorrow. so i take it i could sell these connections and the tow bar as a set then?

just removed the wiring on the driver's side by disconnecting the white wiring connector and also removed the yellow and white wires that were hard wired into the wires on the passenger side. however when removing the passenger side cables i noticed it also has wires which branch off all the way down the passenger side of the car up into the engine bay (i think??) - not sure where these go and what i need to do to release it so i can finally remove the bumper. any ideas. thanks again

These are 12v+ feed(s) for the socket with the white lid. Cut them somewhere handy in the load compartment and make them safe with a screw connector on the end and taped up. There may also be a negative wire , one from the reversing lights feed and an "Ignition on" do the same with them. The wires which go to the front of the car probably are connected through a fuse to the positive battery terminal and can alternatively be disconnected there. someone went to a lot of trouble to feed those wires through and leaving them in place will be a bonus if you sell the car to someone who tows a caravan and decides to fit a towbar & wiring.

irishrover would it be an idea then to cut all the wires so i can leave inside the back access hatch and put a chocolate block on them with tape and leave them there so if anyone wants to in the future they can just tap into them? but obviously dont want to 'short' any other electrics in the car by cutting them? again not great with electrics. thanks again though this is such a great helpful forum.

As MHM says..If it's a plug & socket-just unplug it.

Otherwise go ahead with cutting and fitting block type connectors, making sure you don't short any wires in the process. Tape them up well and you will be o.k....remember to tuck them somewhere that will not expose them to chafing etc. and preferably tape or cable tie them securely, e.g. to a wiring harness etc.
