removing the ABS on a Discovery 300tdi

So unless the OP has an ES spec disco which is fitted as standard with ABS, why would an insurance company be interested in the removal of an ABS system from a vehicle which its fitted with ABS at a customers request when new.

Well, you just wouldnt want to risk it being classed as a modification. If they didnt, no worries. Sort of thing that I would double check before tearing it out!
 
Piece of **** to remove it.

Rip out the giant lump of useless turd on the passenger side wing.

Make a couple of new hoses, get a t piece for rear caliper split.

Jobs a goodun. :D

It is actually relatively simple. My abs has been removed. Although I did get a little fancy with the job and replaced every single copper line with braided stainless steel hose. :cool:

So no copper hoses or rusty fittings ever again. :D

But yea simply remove the abs thingy in the n/s wing. You can use the original master cylinder contrary to popular belief, and you'll also need a t-piece to split the rear lines at the axle. Then run the new hoses through the bias valve and to calipers as per this:




All in all its simples. Only made easier if you order a custom brake line set like I did.

keep the abs......the fault you have might still be a simple one to fix, the blink codes should tell exactly whats wrong....
