Freelander 1 Removing broken glass from passenger door

Can anyone give me some advice on how to best remove shattered glass from inside the door of my 3 door 2001 Freebie 1? Some local pikey kid tried to nick it last night and made a hell of a mess.

I have removed the door card thinking it would open up the inside of the door (as in my old cars) but the holes are far too small to get a hoover nozzle into.

Am I missing something?

Sorry to hear about your unwelcome visitor. The 3 door has holes large enough to access the widow motor assembly, so you should be able to get a vacuum cleaner nozzle in there.

Sorry for the delay replying, almost as soon as I posted it, the internet went off.

I had forgotten to take the bottom pocket thing off. Once I did, I removed the window mechanism and just hoovered it out. I know its going to be a bugger to get back in though.

Pending how much shards you could use heavy duty sticky tape on a stick.

Just so I dont get ripped off at the breakers tomorrow, how much should I be paying for a 3-door window?

At a guess probably £20 or £30. It won't be a commonly bought part and will only take the staff a few minutes to remove.
