Right, I have a cracked ally aircon pipe near the front of engine bay, old label hanging of it says it's a JUF000130. I posted a past thread about this a few weeks back but managed to get the wrong part. Now I'm 100% sure I have the right part I'd appreciate some advice swapping it over with the damaged one. I've undone the two bolts each end but unsure of how I get the flange/oring connection disconnected. Do I just wack it loose with a hammer? And then wack the new one in and tighten bolts?

get an air con professional fit it, coz they are going to have to regas the system. it wont cost much, but if it goes wrong, they will have to fix it.

Yea I know it'll need regassing, just trying to save myself another £30-£50 labour charges.

But there's obviously a correct way of fitting this pipe, it's either connected or it isn't connected.

I can see it's not rocket science but wondered if there was a trick getting the ends of this pipe installed rather than using a hammer or paying out extra dosh.

Wouldn't suggest hitting with a hammer, the pipes are easily broken and are also easily twisted if you over-tighten them.
I left the job to an A/C engineer.

It's not the actual pipe I'm going to be hitting or over tightening.

Oh well, never mind!
