Remove Inner Tubes - Possible???

Hi,

I've got some standard white/cream 16 inch rims with AT2's that have inner tubes in them.

I have a problem with the tubes, as they keep rubbing on the wall of the tyres and popping :(.

My question is, can I just fit valves and get rid of the inner tubes? If so, do they come in more than one size as standard valves are too small.

The rims are off a TD5 I reckon.

Mine did this because I was using tubeless tyres with tubes in. ( Chucked the tubes )

Put tubeless valves in and cured it, you will need the larger than normal valves though, got mine off ebay after getting size off tyre man.
 
Right ok...I have a bare rim in the boot of my car. I'll take some pics n post them up.

Fingers crossed they'll be tubeless (I don't recall any stamps on the rim at all).

Must depend on the tyre as I had two new ones that went flat (Insa's) and the two remoulds that were already on and I put tubes in stayed up.

I hoping, cos they were off a TD5 they will be tubeless. If these are no good, I'm selling them and getting some boost alloys, which I really don't want to do, but oh well...
 
Those look very much like tubeless to me, do you fit yer own tyres? if so stick em on and blow em up an only use fairy liquid as it's kinder to yer hands:)
 
Shouldn't the rims have a T with a circle round it stamped on the wheel somewhere
 
My mate owns a garage and he lets me borrow his tyre machine for nowt (well for a few cans).

Only problem I have, is that in total I have 10 rims.

5 of the old type which two have a puncture and one has the tyre removed.

5 of the TD5 type. 3 have tyres removed. 2 are on the Landy with road tyres on.

Haha...I'm in a bit of a pickle, cos if they don't work, my Landy will be running on two road tyres and two AT2's :lol:

Why are things so complicated! Grrr

No T with a circle. I don't think anyway...does this mean I have to go back outside again?

Not sure of the T so stay indoors..

My brother used to be a tyre fitter years ago so he knows what's what just by lookin at em.

You could do with befriending a tyre fitter preferably female:D
 
They are the same rims as my TD5 and after the new tyres had punchered three inner tubes at least once I dumped the tubes and have had no problems with them yet, after two years or there abouts
