Hi All.

I have a '54 Freelander TD4 HSE with the Harman Kardon system and Becker navigation head unit. Want to change for a modern double din navigation head unit.

Anybody know what is involved? What connections are present in the dash that connect into the existing Becker? Can we retain use of the amp/sub ?

Cheers,

Cheers,

I have just bought a Freelander HSE 2004 that has a Becker sat nav system that is not working, it asks for the code and when entering the code in the service book will not accept, after a few goes I get the warning sign.

Went on Unlockforum.com site and they helpfully confirmed code as correct. They indicated it may well have been decoded previously.

So looking to put a cheap aftermarket unit in and considering something like a refurbished Pure Highway H260DBi Dab radio from Halfords (£90)

The perfect scenario would be that it that it works with the Harman/Kardon sound system

Steering Wheel controls work

6 CD Changer

The Critical I guess is it works with the Harman / Kardon sound system.

Would like some advice on what has been done by others, what connectors do I need just to get it working with the Harmon/Kardon system.

Hi Guys!
I'm writing to you as my last resort.
Spent about 3 weeks searching the web for a solution, but I only get to a point where I have a booked appointment to a shop where they will fit my HU.
Long story short, I bought a Hizpo head unit from Ebay and so far I got a subwoofer cable and a high-to-low converter for the amp (https://incartec.co.uk/product/ISO-to-ISO-amplifier-Bose-integration-interface). I got a '04 Freelander HSE with the Becker SatNav factory head unit.
I've been struggling to find the last piece of the puzzle of how or to what to connect the 'amp turn on' wire going out of the converter? I don't see any blue-white wire in the radio bay, and I don't find any wiring diagrams for the amp which can tell me where to connect the wire.
Could you please help me out? I've been without any music for a long time now and if I can I want to fix it myself and cancel the appointment on the weekend. Thank you!

Just link the blue amp control wire to the accessory output of the ignition switch. It's also available at the cigarette lighter socket.

Thank you for both of you! I give it a go this afternoon. Hopefully, I can save that 30 quid for the rest of the car :D

I couldn't do it myself. Brought the car into Halfords they couldn't fix it either. Everything seems to be in order, cables, wiring, but theres not even static when I connect the purple and yellow to any feed.
Any ideas where should I start looking?

What head unit did you get?

Have you tried it with out the adaptor in line as you don’t need that for the Becker to work and the amp feed to the purple and yellow wire on the car
