how do i remove the front vent flaps?

i have removed the 2 locking nuts from the side of the vent flap hinges.

i have also removed the 2 locking nuts on the underside of the flaps.

All that remains is the pins on the hinges, cant see anything in the haynes manual, do the hinge pins get knocked out somehow or unscrewed?

i have tried lightly tapping the pins with a pin hammer but they do not budge and i dont want to bend them. Am i missing something, any help would be appreciated guys!

Thanks

Col

Hi just fitted some new seals on mine. First remove the two 8mm bolts on the underside this will allow the flap to free from the cab lever. Then spay WD40 on the hinge pin 2 on each flap. Only unscrew 1 nut then the pin will move enough to allow the flap to release. When putting back lubricate all components with copper grease. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys, they must just be seized up then, i have sprayed them a few times this morning with WD40 but they are not for budging yet. I will give it another half hour and then try it again.

Don't really need to WD, just smack it with a small piece of wood and a hammer until it moves into the hinge and then put a rod through and hit again if you cant pull it out with pliers

Thats the way I did it, took about 20 mins as I had to use pliers for the whole thing cos I didn't have a metal rod to put in
