Just had my disco 2. 51 plate remap yesterday he told me 50 more break horse power total 190 break it does feel a lot better got to try my caravan now towing I hope its got moor pulling power, I also hope its better on fuel ??

how much was it for the map and where was it done?

How the hell do you Dyno a 4wd?

£300 done at LR Services oxton Nottingham can only remap from 51 onwards if you have the right ecu.

Is it diesel auto? If so it will feck the gearbox as it will be over the torque rating for the ZF4HP22e box, even more likely if you tow. To get more power from a diesel, you squirt more fuel in, so if you use the extra power it will use more fuel. There is a small saving because of fewer down shifts on hills but that's about it.

On a 4wd dyno

do many of u use the synergy tuning boxes,

had one fitted to my hippo for the last couple of years and with the multiple settings on it has indeed made alot of difference in increased mpg and is ok with the autobox

like the idea of the dashboard switch so if u need a bit more temporary power for towing etc can just flick a switch , then back to the economical setting

hope u didnt mind me asking but just wondering if many of u have them fitted

is it gonna bother my auto gearbox now ???

It will shorten the life if you use the torque provided by the remap. Oil & filter change every 24K miles will help.

so when I am towing the gearbox is gonna get to hot???
