The rules about fonts / spacing etc only apply to plates fitted after 1st Jan 2001.
I just tell the tester that my front plate has been a stick-on one on the vent panel fer donkey's years.

if you get pulled by VOSA down the road he could be rather deeply in the ****! If i was a MOT Tester i would tell you were to go anol.

I think they are all illegal because of the Land Rover bit on the end, it should be a national identifier only. It took a change in the law to allow a Welsh flag.
