You're not gonna like this ...
My opinion is that anyone who 'moves' letters and spacers to create something they think looks like their own name will probably get all the attention they want from Plod. I'd say don't bother fecking with it, just do it in the correct font with the correct spacing ... it's a number plate, not a billboard.

I'M OF THE SAME OPINION, I KNOW THEY WILL WIN THE BATTLE, ITS A LOST CAUSE but i like venting off so it serves a purpose!!
would it be illegal to have one in the window, like lorry drivers, just as i know they are gonna pull me?

mine are similar and a mate in the local garage says he'll have to fail it unless i get some others done

The rules about fonts / spacing etc only apply to plates fitted after 1st Jan 2001.
I just tell the tester that my front plate has been a stick-on one on the vent panel fer donkey's years.

On the bright side Flashplates on Ebay do a Euro standard set for about £7.50 including p and p. I used the the rear plate for my trailer and order a square plate off them as well for an extra £7.99? so for just over £15 delivered the next day all sorted and very nice plates.

Speedflip with ilegal plate with legal one fitted behind it??
I have attached a picture of the number plates i used to have on my range rover...got left alone for over a year then got 2 fines within a few weeks.
Changed them now to standard sized plates but with the spacing J8NO Y and touch wood don't seem to have had any problems so far.
