Hi,

I have had a battery drain problem (see past post) and have followed some of the info on the other threads ie disconnect the RF Antenna, but I am sure the red Led on the dash is flashing more frequently than normal?. Does this mean anything? and what would be the normal interval between flashes when the car is locked?

Kind Regards

Paul:doh:

mine does that if i super lock it, for some reason i never worry about it.. as long as your red light goes out, at the side of your gear stick, on the park..

Maybe it's having a panic attack thinking someone's going to break in.:D

Been out and looked at mine and it's flashing twice a second.

Weird I can never remember it doing that but mine is every second. I had to reconnect the rf antenna just now to "enable" the engine. Honestly who would want to nick one of these you would only have it an hour and something would go wrong!!.
Can I check for battery drain with a multimeter or something now I have disconnected the RF antenna?.
PS I took off the three wire connection as ther seemed to be conflicting advice!!

Regards

Paul

I'm not sure how the person got on who posted about disconnecting the three wire plug from the rf antenna box but to my Rangee is just disables the engine each time and asks "press the remote" to which nothing happens!!, I have unplugged the one wire connection now see how that goes.

Cheers Paul

You unplug the single wire that goes to the aerial, your FOB will then still work if you stand close to the rear OS window. If you unplug the 3 wire connector the BECM knows the receiver is missing and you will have a problem.
Then get a new RF receiver of the latest spec.
