Recommendations for subtle rocksliders without treebars

As per the title I am looking to put some rock sliders on my Defender, one of the sills is damaged from the previous owner and I am planning on doing some green laning so kill two birds with one stone. I really want some very subtle ones with no tree bars which look like they came on the 90 from factory. Does anyone have some recommendations?

I had seen them but was unsure on them, probably because of the finish.

You have the choice of black or galve finish, you could alaways give them a lick of paint beforehand, just make sure it is paint you can redo easily , because they will more than likely get thhe paint damaged over time.

I had those, they are good, and good value. You can paint them, using special metals primer and topcoat, if you want to. It is best to let the shine go off them a bit first.

The best way to get them to look subtly would be as above to paint them body colored the same as the original sills. this will then make them blend in more and be less intrusive.
As mentioned above however they will get damaged, scuffed and chipped just through normal use, even if you do not catch them on anything off road. Mine have a bare patch where they get stod on every time i get in or out of the vehicle depite regularly toughing up that area.

I painted mine bright yellow.

The body was blue, with one white door and one black door. I had the yellow gloss in the paint cupboard. I just ran em around for a while to weather, couldn't be bothered to run out to get the mordant solution.

I wanted something like you describe, I had some suitable 3mm wall box section and made some - not difficult at all and look great. I had them galvanised, then etched and painted them the same colour as my 90. They don't stand out and are bloody strong - I had the whole 90 at an angle sitting against a tree on them - I was able to just drive off it.

I have had these Bearmach ones on my 90 for about 17-years and never regretted it.
They are discrete yet very functional and strong.

Thanks for the advise, I don’t have the time to mess around making some although it would be very satisfying. Think I will order the black ones from Paddock.
