The domain has not expired...that is fairly clear.
I reckon their hosting has expired, or ot been paid, or some other cocckup. Someone is either going to get fired or lose a contract! FAIL!
For those who have the site working for them...it is because the DNS is cached so you are viewing the "old" site....as soon as your DNS refreshes you will get what everyone else is (well, thats my theory)
