Rear Window

While out playing yesterday my rear window went pop!!!

think it was the heavy spare on the wheel carrier thats fitted to the car!! got slight movement in it!!

but my question is, is there anything stopping me from fitting a perspexs rear window?? or is there some stupid law or regulation stopping me??

Did you have the heated window switched on? I had one explode on me whilst driving and im pretty sure it was down to the heated window that was turned on.

i had a perspex one in mine for a while.

I foudn it was cheaper to buy an entire new door though, cost me £2.19 from ebay

ha ha for a whole door!!!!

ive got heated one but not connected found rear glass for £20 so probs buy that, they never changed the size of it did they?? ive got a 1987 90

I broke rear window reversing off an RTV section, large tree jumped out into spare wheel on carrier, bent back door and broke window.
1. I never knew trees could move so fast.
2. Replaced window with piece of alloy I found at work.
( just like driving a van ).

I'm taking mine out and replacing it with 3mm aluminium plate. With a wooden bulkhead I can't see out the bugger anyway.

Yeah no probs. I'll let ya know when it's out. I have a brand spanking spare in my shed anyway.
