rear view mirror compass thingy ma bob

I know all clever things go wrong, but why is my TD5 Auto ES rear view Mirror compas showing a `c` on it?
I recently posted about battery disconection and not having to reset the radio code but it worked fine after that so its not battery related. Is the `c` for calibration? is it a main stealer job computer reset jobby?

Don`t get me wrong I can live without it, but thought you guy`s would know.

I have a turn abd bank and climb indicator I got for £20 .... really naff but truly impresses natives who do't know about steep grassy hills!

You need to re-calibrate your compass in the mirror.

There should be a little reset hole, which you can hold in with a pin or pen or similar. Hold this down for 10-15 seconds.

You then need to drive your car in circles, until the compass has worked where magnetic north is. It should take only two complete revolutions, but you will obviously need some open space to do it in.

It can calibrate itself from normal driving, but it takes forever, hence why it is showing "c" and not a direction!

Yeah I was thinking that - a Hercules has a tighter turning circle
