Rear tail gate (fault)

Hi

I'm looking for advice and 'experienced' opinions about a fault FL rear tail gate lock. The rear door won't open, I have however tested the power and there is power going to the lock (blue plastic connector). The rear door hand, when pressed, will make a double clicking noise.

My question;

I believe the problem is a faulty solenoid lock, however is there a likelyhood that it might be the tailgate handle?

Secondhand FL parts are so expensive
