Tail gate lock FL1

FL 1,tail gate door won't open. Removed door card solenoid rod has disconnected. Pulled down on the rod but still won't open. Any ideas? Thanks.

Good going to get the door card off with the door shut.

There is electronic gubbins on top of electronic gubbins in the way the rear doors lock/latch/open. Plus I'm not really sure on how they work.

Did you have the ignition on and the central locking definitely not locked?

Are you sure the latch did not open, but the window glass kept the door closed? Can you wind the glass down?

I have the same problem, everyting works except door won't click open with the others when remote actioned. Window goes down less than normal at handle action, then goes up again.
Moment's solution, all luggage goes over the rear seats..

It's common for the switch in the handle to give trouble and I think I may have replaced a solenoid once.
It may be the window was holding the door closed when you released the latch.
