i followed the various threads to get it working but now it has packed in.
does the amp have a fuse somewhere?
tempted to fit a couple of 6 x 9's in the door instead.
any ideas/advice more than welcome.

No a seprate fuse, it picks up it's supply from the head unit. The only supplies going to the amp are, a mili-amp audio signal, 12v power and a 12v switching. There is no loudspeaker supply so your 6" x 9" would not work, theres nothing to connect the to u see.
