I have been ignoring the fact that one of my rear shock absorbers had lost it's upper bush for longer than I would care to admit. Of course this then comes back to bite you, as I have now messed up the mount. Is the replacement of this as simple as removing and bolting a new one to the chassis? Eventually I will need to replace the coils as well, but for the minute I just want to fix this problem and resolve the rattling! NRC7891 seems to be the part, with M10 x 100mm bolts, washers and lock nuts to fix.

Thanks,

James

Yes it's pretty easy, I used all new bolts and a nut splitter to save messing around with the siezed bolts. Depending on the age of your defender it will be worth taking a wire brush to the chassis behind and give it a coat of paint or whatever you want to use, I done mine a while back and was greeted by a hole in the chassis on each side behind the mount.
