Series 3 Rear Shackles.

Hi all.
Would anyone know what is the difference in length of the rear shackles on a Series 3 LWB and a SWB. Also, will the SWB Shackles suit a LWB.

The LWB shackles are approx 1/2" longer than the SWB ones. Fitting SWB shackles on a LWB chassis may reduce the suspension travel.

Thanks. I am trying to lower the rear of a 109 FFR by about 2" after fitting Parabolic Springs all round. 2 Leafs on both Front and Rear. Kept original Shocks. I have already replaced all the Extended Skackles for standard ones with little change. Thought SWB on Rear might do the trick. Still plenty of room to put shorter shackles.

How long have the springs been on? Some settle quite a lot

Do shorter shackles not make it worse ie spring ends are held closer together?

Not sure, would imagine that the springs would compensate by pressing the shackles towards the rear thus lowering the height.
