Hi all, been off for a while - too much time at work!

Next job is to strip the old safari door and transplant all the bits to the new one.

Any experience or advice on refitting the bits, especially the glass would be welcome.:welcome2:

Undo the screws holdin' the aluminium trim around the inside of the window, use a knife to cut away any old sealant from the glass on the outside, take glass out and refit with some new sealant. Ah used a roof and gutter type sealant when ah did mine;)

Ok - it's all stripped and the wife is cleaning the glass and strips as I type!

There's no holes to fit the strips to in the new door.

Guess I better drill some pilot holes...........

Guess so. That's how I did mine. Fitting lock and hinges was straight forward. Never done the wiper motor mind you. Fitting it back on is a two person job to make sure you don't damage the paint.

Then all you have to do is allign the lock and the support bracket. Best to fit the spare wheel carrier and put the weight on it before you do the final adjustments to let it settle in place.
