Morning good people of LZ dicovered a problem with my rear prop while TRYING to do my pinion seal gave up after three hours of swearing sweating and more swearing back to the prop , tried to loosen the bolts from the handbrake drum to take the prop off and the whole nut and bolt are just spinning carn't get them out at all, is there anyone who has had this happen and how do i get them out or is it delicate surgery with a grinder thanx

the best way is to split nut down the middle of a flat a long the line of bolt with sharp chisel and decent hammer allways works for me

Thanks james i'll give that a try next weekend should be fun trying to split all four, is it just the four bolts in side the handbrake drum i'll need to replace or can i just put a blob of weld on the in side to stop them spinning

Not being able to remove the nuts at the hand brake end will not stop you replacing the diff pinon oil seal, that is as long as the nuts & bolts can be removed at that end of the prop.
But if you do wish to remove the whole prop, best of luck :D

Got the bolts out of the other end just couldn't get that shaft thing out ran out of acytylene so couldn't warm it up it wouldn't budge with the bolt through a big socket so gave up thats when i seen the loose bolts on the other end, thats the landrover way start one job and find more while your at it
