Hi all doing the ujs on my 4.0 front one went fine got rear one off and it won't slide at all any ideas why?? Now if I replace it what do I do about re fitting without any markings on the shaft. Thanks in advance
 
Yeah it's siezed didn't want to risk changing ujs and putting it back on for expensive things to happen. Cheers Alan will order one from emmotts

Can you not get it free? Plusgas and a bit of heat should help, and a gentle knocking with a copper/plastic hammer. If you can get it moving a bit give it a greasing through the nipple. Don't put it back on, you may have/will do damage to the transfer box if there is no slide movement.
 
Haven't tried anything with it yet heart sank vis just done a load of work on it and it's been off the road for a couple of months so was looking forward to driving it again. I've found one at emmotts for 25 quid so will get that rather than mess about. Thanks again though Alan

Don't chuck the old one! It only goes together one way so easy to fix.
