Rear passenger door

Hi all need help 2009 freelander 2 rear passenger door will not open from inside or outside was working fine until 2 days ago any advice please

OK so if i can't open the door from inside or outside how can I get access to take the door card off to get at the inside workings ?

With great difficulty.
Normally the door lock motor plays up for several months before finally giving up.
The only way to open the door is either to keep trying the unlock just in case it opens, or completely strip the door down with it closed. Getting the door card off is possible with the door closed, but the rest of the operation of getting to the lock, then getting the lock apart so it can release the door catch is far from easy.

You'll need another lock assembly before you start, as the old lock will need to be pulled apart to get it to release. The new lock can be used as a reference for the various clips and screws that need to be removed to get inside the lock.

Do you have two fobs have you tried both, are the locks set to one press for the drivers door double press for the rest of the doors, do you have child locks on.
