Hi all,

Please have a look at the two photos above. I've recently developed this leak around the rear hub, it isn't so bad that fluid drips from the hub but i'm going away on a trip at the end of the week and want to sort this before I go.

I've checked the axle breather which is clear and i'm guessing this isn't the bearing seal as inside the bearing is packed with grease not oil so is this the seal / gasket that sites of the back of the stub axle? If so is it likely the stub axle is also u/s?? There is no play in the wheel when bolted to the hub.

Will pull apart in the week just want to have the right parts ordered before I do!

Thanks in advance!

i would think its more likely the grease seal leaking (ftc4785)at the rear off hub ,oil isnt supposed to reach wheel bearings as seal in stub axle should stop it ,but they often leak a little into bearing ,seal in hub is a grease seal and not oil seal as has no garter spring ,and is often fitted wrong way round ,some fit oil seal rtc3511 instead off ftc4785
